It’s a Banksy window.
In June 2006, Banksy created an image of a naked man hanging out of a bedroom window on a wall visible from Park Street in central Bristol. The image sparked “a heated debate”, with the Bristol City Council leaving it up to the public to decide whether it should stay or go.After an internet discussion in which 97% of the 500 people surveyed supported the stencil, the city council decided it would be left on the building. The mural was later defaced with blue paint. Wow!! Was the motive behind this was humor or satire??

The building wall that this was painted on was/is a sexual health clinic…it could be either!

Thank you, Ludwig, I’m really enjoying joining into Monday Window. Lots of fun, I now find I’m window and door orientated!

What a feat, painting that! Somehow, the paintball smears only enhance the mural, don’t you think? Thanks for a peek at something I might never have seen without your blog.

Thank you, Kathryn. It’s a splendid mural and there are more in Bristol by Banksy, there is even a Banksy walking route in the city. Expect a post later this year, I shall be visiting in May and intend to do the whole tour. I’m so glad you liked the post.
