Ah, yes, I read Mick’s post too.Donkey has progressed to small truck now! This was along the coastline from Shannah port on the way to Al Ashkharah. This part of Oman is still a very lonely region, the road runs through the huge dunes which merge into the coastal beach.Fishing and goat herding are the only visible economy here.It seems from my passes through over the last couple of years that life is poor, coastal villages are run-down. As yet, apart from a road, not too many government handouts for the people of this region..
