Along the coast of eastern Oman, a region known as Ash Sharqiyah, the coast road passes through many small fishing villages, buildings are weather-beaten, dilapidated and life appears to be very different to that of the main cities.
In one such village, is, what appears to be a fort, spread over a large area, no access except for this doorway, with Omani crossed sword symbols on the wall buttresses. I wonder what is behind these doors, now seemingly abandoned to the elements… I have a feeling the crossed sword logo is from the Royal Omani Police, so maybe this was a regional headquarters or prison.
Thursday Door challenge hosted by Norm, drop into the link and see the other doors…..
This is either scared or something fishy going on behind those doors.

I find it interesting that the rest of the building isn’t much taller than the doors, which are rather splendid.

Lovely solid wood doors, but I guess whatever is going on on the other side of those walls is not for public viewing 😉
Good one!
