Dubai is an ever-developing city. People who work here have to live here and currently, the pace of construction and release of new housing developments is quite frantic.
On the Palm island, Jumeirah, one of the more upmarket addresses in the city, you can find hotels and residences. A mixture of architectural styles ranging from classical to traditional makes it an interesting place to pop out to every so often and see what else is being constructed. A development called “The Kingdom of Sheba” has been underway for a while. It looks like it won’t be long until it opens.
Situated on the top of the Palm island crescent, Sheba is a modernized mixture of Yemeni and Arabian styles. The decorative window designs, the narrow and irregular style and height make this large development very different to the designs of its neighbors.

Thanks, Georgie, there is always something to find here, it might not be an actual window, but I think a slight laissez-faire can be introduced to these challenges!

Really wonderful windows! It is very neat that the traditional themes have been so imaginatively incorporated into modern buildings. Thank you for sharing.
